I bought something in US with my credit card, and later returned the goods for a refund. But the VISA company charged me 4% commission, said it's due to exchange rate. I called UOB and they said they will bear the cost. Although I don't quite believe, I waited, and today they credited right amount into my account.

UNBELIEVABLE !!!

but it did happen. Would other banks do the same?

Monday, 16 April 2007 - Written by fel_chew I think they do check your records, and i suppose this is your 1st time buying the goods from overseas?  I think they do close 1 eye when it comes to such issues as they do not want to lose you as a customer.
