Just came backed from Chinatown, so tired now….

Anyway, chinatown has lit up for business already!!!

After stepping out from the MRT underpass, just a few steps ahead, there’s a puppet show staged at the left hand side. A rare sight in modern Singapore!

Woh! I can’t even remember when have i last seen such traditional performance in Singapore. It attracted crowds of Singaporeans and tourists alike, many like myself, are taking photos of it. Too bad, i don’t understand the dialect spoken in the show.

Anyway, as of usual, the stalls at the CNY chinatown roadside market are selling the same old things since years ago…..

The traditional “la rou” stalls are lesser than previous years

So are the cny decoration shops

I noticed this when i was walking along one of the roads -> Trishaw Station! Haha, come to Chinatown so many times i don’t know they even got such thing as trishaw station.

The CNY goodies are so…. expensive now! Must wait for the price to drop then buy, haha
There are a few stalls selling them at 5 boxes for $10, but the boxes are very small… The better ones are usually around $10, larger also. Must wait!

Well, most of the stalls, especially the ones along smith street, are selling this sweets, nuts, taiwan “muah chee” and jelly. Currently, the market price for sweets is 80cents for 100g, muah chee and jelly are $1.80 for 100g too. Wah! 100g is so little only, especially the muah chee and jelly, like around 4 pieces and that’s it. Cannot buy now, must wait for CNY to draw near, the prices sure drop a lot, especially during cny eve. Anyway, these are all the fattening stuff, draw away from me!

Chinatown point!

North Bridge Road!

Happy CNY!
