The assassin, who is later killed himself, turns out to be the father of Wesley (James McAvoy), a pathetic schlub who works as an accountant in a beehive office, hates his life, and is being cuckolded by his girlfriend and bullied by a grossly obese boss who intimidates him with a stapler that she clicks as if it was a Glock. He keeps saying, "I'm sorry" to everyone. One day, while buying anti-anxiety pills, he meets Fox (Angelina Jolie) a representative of the Fraternity, which is what the weavers call themselves. Fox is constructed mostly out of a knowing smile, tattoos, a bosom and a pair of enlarged lips that light her way through life's darkness, and she tells Wesley that he is assassin material himself, although he'll first have to stop apologizing so much. Under it all, however, lurks the heart of a wolf. Like his father before him, Wesley has the ability to slow down time, so he's taken to the factory where the "weavers of fate" work. "Do you make sweaters or kill people?" he asks Sloan (Morgan Freeman), the godlike leader of the Fraternity, and he gets his answer soon enough: he is pummeled senseless and carved up with knives, mostly so he can then be healed through a magical system that seems to involve being encased in wax. Through these methods, Wesley learns to fight, bleed, use a knife, adapt rats to rodents of mass destruction, not take any crap from his girlfriend any more, and also to curve bullets by shaking his wrist as he fires a gun. This is Wanted's signature move, and it means that you cannot only shoot through dead bodies on meat hooks - the looming factory also appears to be a butcher's warehouse - but you can shoot around them. Then it's off to find Cross (Thomas Kretschmann), the rogue who killed Wesley's father: just like Pete Seeger, Wesley wants to hammer out justice.
Angelina Jolie, as Fox, shoots from the driver's side of her Viper. It is so exciting..... to watch the movies.... The storyline turns out to be unexpected. Just like our lives, alot of things turns out to be unexpected. There is one scene that Angeline walked out naked, she is sexy with all those tattoos..... Plus that it is based on comics, all the scene are out of "EXTRA"ordinary.... all the skills ..... so the "Wanted" is a pure popcorn experience, a story based on a comic book that through the magic of special effects turns its set-pieces - the wild car chase, a train in Europe that goes over a scary bridge - into awesome examples of what they can do with the magic of special effects. All are special computer animation and graphics. None of it feels real, but it is fast and loud. Bang bang... bang.... Lastly, I wanted to say that one of the last scene that angelina fired a shot and killed all the members of Fraternity, including herself. This move is telling us that she believe in the "weave of fate". I will not watch Part 2 in the theatre if there is.....
