![]() The next episode to our friendly neighbourhood Spiderman saga is here in town! And it seems to be in for a big hit at the box office. Ticket sales for Spiderman 3 are selling so fast, you better have a pre-internet booking to have that nice comfortable back seat where you don’t have to crane your neck! But is Spiderman 3 worth all the attention that it’s getting? After all, this being the third episode of Spiderman, what new twists to the story can they come up with? Just watching Spiderman fight villain after villain is bound to get boring after 3 episodes!
![]() Well, Spiderman 3 I would say, doesn't disappoint! For one, the visual effects, woah, really good! All that swinging around from building to building (we get to see lots of that as usual!), and the parts of the movie where Spiderman’s fighting the villains (spoilers alert!: Green goblin Junior, Venom and the sandman) has got great visual effects! Especially the parts where Spiderman fights the villains, really kept me on the edge of my seat.
![]() Plot wise, the director definitely threw a twist to the plot. The Mary Jane-Spiderman romance finally hits some rocks (well, throws some realism into the romance at the same time) what with all that superhero attention finally getting to Spiderman’s head. And also how things turn out between Peter Parker and Harry Osborne. In this third episode, Spiderman appears to be more human then superhero which is a nice dimension to the Spiderman character because it just makes him more realistic! I mean superheroes are humans in costumes after all right? ![]() And yes, I love the villains in this episode. The greatest villain of all being Spiderman himself (yes, go watch the movie and you’ll understand!)… Well, shall not add anymore spoilers here in case you haven’t watched it yet!
Spiderman 3 is funny, exciting, sad, heart-breaking all in one! Great movie I would say. Scores 4 out of 5 stars for me! Not 5 stars because I thought the show was a wee bit lengthy, 2 and a half hours…my butt hurt after that…
Anyway, I heard from a friend of mine that there might be 7 episodes to the Spiderman movies! Not sure if it’s true, or it’s just a rumour, but let’s see what new stunts and twists to the plot the director can come up with! I sure am looking forward to Spiderman 4 (if there’s going to be one)!
