The movie is the story abt 4 OLD yet MATURE woman talking abt their life and what they really want in life... after 40s....

all four of the original girls (Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon) will return to play their parts in the movie! Yaay!

Also returning are Chris Noth (Mr. Big), David Eigrnberg (Steve), Evan Handler (Harry) and Jason Lewis (Smith) as the love interests of the women. Academy - Award winning actress Jennifer Hudson will also star in the film as Carrie Bradshaw’s assistant, a new character in the film. Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), the ever witty, ever funny columnist continues to narrate her own story and those of her friends while they continue to juggle their jobs and romantic lives in the movie.

From what we gather, each of the four girls are in a “situation” of their own with Carrie making wedding plans which leads into yet another break-up with Mr. Big, Miranda dealing with Steve having an affair, Charlotte becoming pregnant, Samantha (who is still with Smith Jarrod) now living in L.A and struggling with marriage and Louise (Jennifer Hudson) looking for love in New York.

The movie tells us that some woman just focus on the how BIG is the diamond or how GRAND the wedding ceremony is , at most of the times, they forgot abt the bride groom.... instead.

In the movie, I was surprised that the Miranda and Steve ; USA woman cannot take a fling or the one night stand by her husband... Whereas Samantha is struggling to find her true love ; that is herself. Miranda in the movie sounds like she is from the Asia. In our normal view of the western culture, fling and ONS are common (like Samantha). It seems like the western countries are take cue from the oriential culture and our asia values.  So there are asia core values that are commanding respect from the westerner.

Overall, i find the movie is enriching not just focusing on the womand and relate them to SEX (alot of ppl will think it that way). It is a movie that focus on the soft side of man and woman, and also the complexity of how a man thinks that are so different from woman... (Like BIG and steve).

Yes I would say this is a good movie for both men and women. I said so because many guys thought that this kind of movie is just for gals to watch.

I disagree that Miranda cannot take a fling by her husband is taking in Asia value. I believe they are trying to conclude different types of women exist in the city. Not all women are open minded in USA, different women have their different morals or values. Same in Asia, not all women are conservative, we can see all sorts of women around the world.

Catch this movie if you can!
