This game is known as the Prince of Persia Sands of Time Trilogy. Most likely, you have heard of Prince of Persia before, because you have played it on Nintendo or Gameboy. But this game is very different from what you have played before. Make it simple, it's a 3D Prince of Persia that let you perform all sorts of stunts typical in any "Wu Xia" stories you have read.

It is a 3D game combining
Action / Adventure + Arcade combat + Diablo-style RPG in FPS mode + Puzzle solving

Action / Adventure

All past 3D Prince of Persia games copied from Tomb Raider, and this time, they made Tomb Raider Legend copied them. Basically in PoP you are able to perform almost all moves in Tomb Raider Legend + quite a number of insane, gravity-defying moves, which are best described by "Qing Gong" in "Wu Xia" stories.

e.g. you find yourself seperated from the destination by a huge gap, and you are not able to jump over as in Tomb Raider. So what can you do? The answer is to run on the wall to the other side.

e.g. you find yourself between two very high walls, and you have no way to go except where you come from. Run up the wall and jump back and forth many times to get to the top.

Arcade

PoP can be thought as King of Fighter or Street Fighter with 4 buttons (normally you have 4 to 6 buttons in an arcade machine), and you are able to perform combos by pressing some prefixed key sequence just like any arcade game.

Diablo-style RPG in First Person shooter mode

You can fight with several enemies at the same time and the movement keys and mouse control are same as any First Person Shooter like counterstrike. There is an interesting story-line in the game.

Puzzle solving

You often solve puzzles to go through a level, not as difficult as tomb raider, but the puzzles need the help of some super-human moves to solve.

The bad thing about this game is, if your comp is old and you don't upgrade hardwares, chances are, you won't be able to play this game.

Game-specific notes:

The sands of time

Puzzles are linear, except a few one. You don't need to think too much to solve those puzzles. There is one part where you need to get through by trial and error. Storybook environment.

Warrior within

Violent game-play. More parts depend on trial and error. Game controls are designed for consoles, so some parts in the pc game are difficult due to the controls. Confusing storylines. Full of surprises. Contains highly non-linear puzzles.

The two thrones

Boss fights are over-difficult. Game controls problem still exist. Linear puzzles again. Contain vehicle driving feature, but it's very difficult. Able to control a second character with different moves. Satisfactory Ending.
