If you are an avid fan of board games, or if you are merely looking for a place to sit down and chill out with your friends, check out the Pitstop Cafe at Boat Quay. Similar to Mind Cafe and Settlers Cafe, Pitstop offers you hours of fun and laughter. The moment you step into the cafe, you'll be welcomed by the counter crew who will usher you and your friends to your seats. (Remember to book in advance so that you won't be disappointed.) The reason why I keep returning to Pitstop is because I especially like the environment there. It gives a nice, homely feel and the walls are decorated with graffiti and photos of all the 'Pitstoppers' who have been to the place and enjoyed their time there! The photo is free and if you would like to bring home a copy, you can choose to purchase one at $1. You can then paste the photo on the wall and doodle whatever you like on the colourful walls of the cafe. When you return again, you'll certainly think of the wonderful time you had there! The food served at Pitstop is not bad either. A popular dish among the Pitstoppers is the foot-long fish and chips (well, at least me and my friends are always ordering that), which is one of the main courses.
The gaming rates are also affordable and comparable to other board games cafes - $3 for the first hour if you packages and $2 for the subsequent hour (also $2 for any extension of package timings). Oh lastly, there's a card game I would like to recommend, and it can't be found at both Mind and Settlers - Swap! :)
