I give it 8 out of 10. Boy did I enjoy it!

Without giving the plot away (not much to give away anyway), let me share the reasons why I thoroughly enjoyed the movie.

Firstly, there are no boring moments in the movie. The movie opened with a bang and one does not have to wait long to see the first Decepticon (unlike Jurassic Park when one was kept waiting and teased before catching a first glimpse of a dinosaur). There are some non-Transformer moments obviously, where the human casts are the focus. But these are usually relevant and to me, add value to the movie. You know, if the whole movie is just about the Autobots and Decepticons, it could be kind of boring. If anything, guys would appreciate the ultra-hot Megan Fox, who bears some resemblance to Angelina Jolie, but charming in her own right. Va va vroom!

Megan Fox is sizzling hot in this movie!

Human moments add to the excitement as well. Definitely not a bane to the movie.

Secondly, I have to say the special effects are awesome. Right from the first battle scene between Decepticon and soldiers to the battle scenes between Decepticons and the Autobots, the Transformers are superbly rendered and do not look out of place. They are in short, totally believable. Their transformation are also very well-done. I wonder how many hours went into all those CGI? They must have sweated blood.

Optimus Prime in his full glory. Wonderfully rendered!

Thirdly, this movie has its fair share of simple-to-understand humour. They are not slapstick humour mind you, just light-hearted humour that will tickle most people. Personally, I enjoyed some of the silly moments. And judging from the laughter from people around me, I think many people did as well.

Some of my friends complained that the movie is too loud but I had no such issues. I hope I am not going deaf or anything.

In conclusion, I think people who dig special effects or love Transformers and have always wanted to see them in a more realistic manner or love action movies and do not mind the lack of a complicated plot would love the movie. Basically, bring yourself, leave your sophisticated mind at the door, go into the cinema, and enjoy the effects. I think that would make the movie very enjoyable and entertaining.

Oh I did not realize that the boy acted in Constantine but now that you mention it, he seems to be always typecast into those roles whose characters tend to blabber incessantly... In this movie, he also reminds me of Jason Biggs who's the male lead in American Pie...

the sound wasn't loud, visuals were spectacular. Maybe it's the theatre difference. The boy is Charles Cramer in Constantine (the car driver).
