kung fu panda

I just came back home from watching this ultra hilarious movie. Kung Fu Panda is not just another animation film for the kids, but is suitable for everyone, especially those who are on the verge of committing suicide, haha. Really funny show it is.

The story depicts the story of how a big fat panda called Po, who always dream of becoming a kung fu warrior, but is bounded by his heavy physical constraints, gets to fulfil his dreams and become the hero of his home town.

One funny thing to take note of is that his father is actually a goose, instead of a panda. And his father, who is running a noodle stall business, handled down from his ancestors, is keep expecting Po to fulfil his "destiny" to carry on the family business.

Through luck, peseverence and understanding, Po then managed to become the disciple of the Kung Fu Master. And with the wise guidance of his master, Po finally managed to overcome his physical constraints in a short period of time, and become a real fighter.

While being a funny movie, it is also very inspirational, and i'd recommend everyone to watch it. If you think back of the movie, there are actually 3 morals in it.

Firstly, It tells about how one can fulfil his own dreams despite having the greatest constraints needed. Though at first, the master don't really want to keep Po as his disciple, and many times he tried to kick Po out of his dream. Despite all these, Po persevered on, he didn't just give up. And the day really came that his master finally accepts him.

Secondly, the story speaks of how one's disadvantage can actually become an advantage. The villain's deadly acupuncture attack ("dian xue") couldn't harm Po, because his fat has his acupoints all covered up. And Po's big belly became one of his weapons to fight the enemy.

Lastly is the wisdom of the kung fu master, who used Po's strong desire for food to train Po. The master knew that he can't use normal methods which he trained his other disciples to train Po, so he grab hold of Po's weakness for food to his advantage. And through this, Po became a competent fighter faster than usual. Sometimes, one's desire can really help one to fulfil his destiny with the greatest impact.

Overall, i would say it's a show worthy of the pricy weekend ticket.
