Have you ever come across a decent guy who sits by the bench taking a black crayon and people do actually pay him to sketch their face on either a A3 or A4 size paper along Apparently last Sunday when I went out with my friend, he was fanatic to see him. Why? Initially he wanted to get him to draw a portrait of he and his beloved girlfriend. But I do not know whether he is unlucky or what, the person advised him in the end that if he could see the real person to sketch out the piece, it’ll be so much easier. During the process of seeing him to draw other people along the queue, I found out some interesting stuff. Actually this kind of art is called the caricature. It is a picture or a drawing of a person where the features of the face and/or body are emphasized or de-emphasized to create a humorous effect. There are varying degrees of distortion from picture to picture and also from artist to artist. Caricaturing is not portraiture because it is not an exact likeness. But a healthy dose of likeness should be in a caricature so that you can tell who it is. Based from my point of view, the person being drawn will be looks more pretty or handsome, or even, it looks young. And he draws really fast! I guess he always challenge himself to capture a person's face with still keeping the best quality. I’m practically so impressed with his skill totally. Oh, the prices are kind of reasonable as well. It is $5 per face drawn. So guys and girls out there, perhaps that might will you inspiration to get more interesting gifts for your special someone? So do be observant and spot that caricaturist! I also heard that he draws for those special events/occasions as well!
