One day, my friend reinstalled Counter-Strike and played with bots. So I came across and had a chance to try this new bot system for Counter Strike. It has been a long time since I last played this game. It does bring back some memories, the days I played days and nights.
First thing I noticed now Counter-Terrorists can use Shields, and the way they hold knifes was reversed again. Last time we were holding knife with the tip pointing forward, then changed to like stabbing oneself then now changed back to pointing forward.
Come to the bots, last time, the bots are damn stupid and unbeatable with superhuman accuracy. I'm very surprised, now they are more human, shoot like human and move around along paths that are somewhat unpredictable. You are given a lot of options to adjust their AI. e.g. you can force them use pistol only.
Even more surprising is that, you can now order them to do certain things, by using the standard calls. e.g. when you need people to cover you, just shout "Cover Me!", and the bots will answer your call and cover you with their fire! That's a quantum leap in their AI.
The intelligent bots are now available for almost every official maps. Last time only a few popular maps were supported. People really put in effort in designing Condition Zero, now you can enjoy Counter-Strike without finding people to play with you in Multiplayer game.
