After a long wait from the time they started to demolish the old Ang Mo Kio interchange, the new AMK hub is finally totally ready. Left the cinema not yet complete. I think the AMK hub is so far, the best of the neighbourhood shopping centres, because of the variety and quality of the shops in there.
Going in to the first storey from the underpass from the MRT station, the first shop you'll see is the ToastBox, a subsidiary of the infamous Bread Talk.
And to the right side is where the bus interchange is. Very convenient isn't it? You can shop around comfortably while waiting for your bus to come. The boutiques are much better here than the ones at other neighbourhood shopping centres. They got more variety and quality, as they cater more for the young adults, with better fashion design. There's a "Ah Mei" cafe at the 2nd floor which sells Indian food, especially Roti Prata. However, i really dun think it's a good idea to have a "coffee shop" right at the centre of the boutiques. There's also a gym coming at the basement, and hello shop too...
And down right at the B2 is the NTUC Extra "Hyper market". And right at the center along the way at B2 is a row full of stalls selling finger food like durian pancake, donuts, crispy chicken, deep fried vegetable cakes, soya bean, etc etc. Just one thing it lacks - a book store.
