There's a stretch of pet related industry at the far east of Singapore at Pasir Ris Farmway Drive 2 and 3. It's quite near the HDB area at Pasir Ris, near the same exit on TPE where u exit to go to the new Ikea. It is also very within walking distance if you are not driving.
Along the way in, you can see an area with a lot of dog kernels...
The dogs are all barking at me when i walked past.... lucky there's the fence.
It's called Mutts and Mittens, think it's a shelter for dogs and cats.
Going down further at the junction, to the left is a Pet Hotel.
Think it must be a boarding place for pets when you go overseas and couldn't bring your dog or cat along.
To the right is a Pet Farm called Ericsson.
Went in for a look, there's a lot of very cute puppies for sale, saw quite a few twins of pugs, huskies, spaniels, etc Too bad i can't take photos inside there.
Walking down further to the right are some fish farms.
There are quite a few of these farm style buildings along the stretch. Each of the building contains 1 or 2 aquarium shop and inside each shop is a vast array of tanks containing beautiful exotic aquarium livestocks. Some are selling tropical freshwater fish, while some others specialise in Marine livestocks. If you are into aquarium, i think most likely you can get what you want there, since there are quite a few of them and each one is so big.
And each of the shops also sell ice cream and cold drinks, so if you are tired walking under the hot sun, you can have something to refresh with. There are some benches outside too.
Walking down again, there is the Pasir Ris dog run which i mentioned before, so i'm going to skip that.
Further down again, where the road turns to Farmway 3, there's another 2 larger fish farms and 1 of which offers a variety of aquatic plants.
