Finally we got a chance to try this famous Shanghai Nanxiang XiaoLongBao at bugis street, level 2. At first I thought the food down there would be quite expensive because I saw a few recommendations from TV or magazines...

But surprisingly, when I look at the menu, the price are reasonable, some are even cheaper than Crystal Jade.

So well, we must try the famous XiaoLongBao isn't it, they have few types of different xiaolongbao. There is port, shrimp+pork, crab+pork, etc... but there is one Super Jumbo xiaolongbao where you need a straw to "suck" out the delicious soup inside the xiaolongbao... but we don't dare to try it, hahaa...

You should try the new Nanxiang Steamed Bun restaurant. Heard it's even more authentic and the newly renovated place looks gorgeous.

Nanxiang and Xiao Long in Shanghai~
Friday, 27 October 2006 - Written by Bong
In Shanghai right, there are Nanxiang everywhere, but the correct one or should say the nicest one, is at YuYuan or ChengHuangMiao, and if you buying take away one~you need to Q for at least 45min, very cheap..and nice...and if you eat in, there are a few area, all very Long Q, but...there is a place with minimum charge-each person RMB60, then you dont have to Q that long~~~Nice..but i still think..Ding Tai Feng has..better XiaoLong in Shanghai. Xiaolong in Shanghai are just cheap, and easily get everywhere-so not made by big master...and too salty.
