And when I say chips I don't mean potato chips, I mean big fat french fries!! I read about it in 8 days and we were around the vicinity of Bugis so we decided to give it a shot! Boy we weren't disappointed!! We ordered THE POUTINE, for only $4.90 and it came with a generous serving of cheese and Beef Gravy! It was really delicious! When we bit into our Yella Fellas, it had a distinct potato taste, not too salty too. Cheese and potato rocks! The fries were hard to bite but yet pleasing and soft to chew. It is pretty heart-attack worthy though, I feel. Though it does not taste oily or too dry, the amount of gravy was 'WHOA!" We asked the stall mender if there's any particular way she cooked the potatos and she just said -cut and fry! Just like that. No need to par-boil or freeze the potatos. The potatoes are the type you will find at Swensens and not the skinny ones we normally eat. Good value for money! We also tasted the CubanFellas. Which is the fries with salsa, sour cream and pesto..homemade! I loved the gravy one more though! But it didn't lack in presentation and taste And what is so unique about this place is that they weigh the amount of fries before putting the sauces and what nots. So you will know that you will not be cheated of your money! Or, you can always say that you will never get extra! But one serving of each is pretty big to share two people, of course, as a snack! Not a meal! (I'd gobble it up on my own for a meal, anytime!) The place is located outside Cold Storage in Bugis Junction Basement. It's YELLA FELLAS. beside a donut shop.
The very nice aunty to served us
