Over at the 2nd floor hawker centre at Golden Shoe, there's this wanton mee stall that is constantly attracting a long queue of hungry patrons during lunch time. The name's Tiong Bahru Wanto Mee, hmm.... think it's either a branch or moved over from Tiong Bahru i think.

Other than Wan Tun noodles, their other speciality is their "Jing Du Pork Ribs Noodle".

I actually wanted to order the wanton mee, but the fragrant pot of stew pork ribs kept inducing me to try it, and i gave in. It's really looks and smells good!

This is the wanton mee. For $2, you get a fried wanton and 2 soup wantons, a bit too little hor. But anyway, they are quite generous with their char siew, which looks damn good, as good as the jing du pork ribs.

See! Didnt bluff you, it looks really really good and tempting. Got a piece from my friend, hehe. The colour of the char siew looks really good, not like the one you get from normal wanton mee stall.

The wantons are not bad, crunchy cos of the water chestnut in the fillings.

Here is the much anticipated Jing Du Pork Ribs Noodle. I've got 3 pieces of the pork ribs with the $3 bowl i ordered. Anyway, the pork ribs are really tender, and the sauce is yummy. The ribs are so smooth and tender that you can remove the meat just with the chopsticks in one hand. And there's also quite some fatty meat also. I would say that there isn't much lean meat also, cos the bones are real big. Should have ordered the $4 one. But nevertheless, it's still very juicy and nice. Must Try!

The noodles are not bad, but quite normal like other good wanton mee.
Anyway, if you are ordering from this stall, do order it's larger size ones, you wont regret it! It's so wonderful you can get cheap and good food at Raffles Place!
