Here's a recommendation for some light meal, down at clementi central.

Tang Yuan!

It is located in the coffee shop at clementi central, just opposite the clementi indoor sports complex. A good spot to eat something after some sports eh?

tang yuan

It comes along with 4 flavours - peanut, red bean, black sesame and yam, 4 for $1.50, 6 for $2. And it comes along with either peanut soup or ginger soup.

I don't prefer the peanut soup 'cos i think it is too sweet for me so i ordered the ginger soup. Not quite something anyone would prefer, i think; but it's good for my stuffy nose, the result of this monsoon season.
It kind of warms up the body. The first mouth is not very pleasing, but subsequent ones are much better.

Next, to the main focus, the tang yuan taste a bit like the one you can get from the supermarket, especially the peanut flavoured ones. But i can see that the skin is much thinner and there are the fillings are more than the frozen ones.

Out of the four, i prefer the red bean ones more, mainly because it got a stronger taste and i like it. The sesame is good too and it's thick. I don't quite like the yam ones, the taste is a bit too light for my taste.

Overall is not bad, nice place to eat after playing some sports at the stadium opposite.

hey, i just had the same 1 in Ghim Moh market. There are two type of peanut tang yuan -- handmade or machine-made, i personally think machine one better as the content can ooze out wen you bite. Sesame flavour is just simply heaven too!!
