If you are looking for good pasta, it's not really necessary to go to pasta mania or some other Italian restaurants to get good ones, you can also get real good pasta at normal hawker centre.
There's this nice pasta stall at Hong Lim Food Centre. (In case you don't know where it is, it's just behind Chinatown point, the yellow building which used to be blue.)
The stall is called "Pasta Express".And It's not just any western stall who only got the usual bolognese, at the stall over here, you can also get Cabonara, alfredo, etc with different toppings like bacon, beef, peas, seafood etc, different shapes of pasta also, penne, spaghetti, etc
They also sell normal western, but they only got chicken cutlet and fish n chips.
They got lots of recommendations from some famous foodies, channel U, S Best Food, Lian He Zao Bao, etc
This is the Fettuccine Carbonara my friend ordered. Looks good. The ingredient is bacon.
I like the sauce, it's not too creamy, which wont make you feel "ni" after eating it, just right. There's chilli powder at the side if you want it to be spicy a bit. This is really one "Must Try", $4 only.
Next up is the usual beef bolognese i ordered. Looks good too.
Nevertheless, the sauce is actually not as good as the carbonara, but still quite ok. A bit "thinner" i would say. Overall, still not bad. You can skip this one if you are visiting this stall, order the cream sauce pasta instead, cos i see most people ordered cream sauce pasta.
