we didn’t know where to eat so it was a random pick, this newly opened restaurant opposite his place, called La Villa, along River Valley Road, me thinks. We didn’t know how cheap/expensive the place was gonna be, but just decided to give it a try! I think the waiter looked at chai like one kind la cos he was in slippers and berms. heh but too bad he still had to entertain me, in work clothes. muahaha. The place looks erm.. pretty poshy, rustic-y kinda feel. nice though.
We were conned! We wanted water and the guy gave me mineral water from the bottle. Hence SGD7 down the holeee. But the breadstick basket was really yummy! dipped in olive oil & balsamic vinegar. i was so adamant not to dip it cos its oil!!!!!! but i tried abit lah, might as well. fragrant, to my surprise!
Our starter, appetizer thingy i think. Those shavings on top are cheeseeeeeee!! Need I say more? The bee slices below are scrumptious!!
My smoked salmon pizza! decided to go fish (since i’ve been avoiding my Omega-3 fats for a few weeks now. I don’t like fish because I am scared of the small bones getting stuck in my throat. *horror)
his risotto! seafood! full of flavour and yummy risotto bits. of course we shared the food la. his risotto look so nice, i also want to eat. very attentive staff. me likes. Totally enjoyed the experience. Good food, good company. I mean, the place is tucked in somewhere in the city area, so you can walk from Great World, take a shuttle, or drive. Ample parking there. Food starts at about $19 per dish (not including taxes) Pretty expensive, but u should try, cos it’s really quaint and lovely.luxrious.
