While I was going to Hong Lim food yesterday, deciding on what to eat, i saw this stall with a long queue of patrons lining up for its wanton noodles, so i decided to give it a try. It's at Hong Lim Food centre level 2, on the small section higher, where u got to go up a few more steps at level 2.
Other than wanton noodles, they also got curry chicken noodle, chicken feet noodle, ipoh horfan etc.It also got some very tempting chicken chops hanging in it's stall, looks real good. But i decided to get their more famous wanton mee instead, cos everyone else is also ordering that. The queue stretches to the next stall, and i think that stall owner is not very happy about it, and even asks us to move further away from his stall, haha
One plate like this cost $2.50 with 3 wantons (i think it is a bit too little). One thing different is that they don't mix the chilli when they prepare the noodles, you got to put it urself. Nevertheless, the chilli is quite good, not too hot.
Looks Good!
The noodle texture is a bit different from the usual ones you get from normal wanton noodle stalls, this one is a bit thicker but it is also nicer to chew in my opinion.
It also got mushroom, good, i like mushroom.
The wanton is quite solid and firm, nice to chew and the taste not bad. Overall the food is above average, can give it a try if you are going there for lunch.
