Undisputedly, Boon Tong Kee has gained the reputation as one of the most renowned chicken rice restaurant chain in Singapore that has attracted influx of tourists and regional celebrities. A popular haunt for locals. It is famous for succulent & delectable COLD chicken. Btw, they do not serve roast chicken at all.

One of the biggest misconceptions of BTK is that they serve HAINANESE chicken. Totally wrong, it is Cantonese-style chicken. How can you tell the diff b/w cantonese and hainanese style chicken. Anyway, it has to do with the owner's dialect grp tat you call your chicken as cantonese. :P

I like BTK because I grew up eating their chicken. My family has been a great fan of BTK chicken rice. Through the yrs, we also fell in love with their zi cai as well as their steamboat. Not bad for a family outing with a homely feel.

If you happen to visit, die die must try their deep-fried toufu. Extremely beautiful and tasty dish!
