Right in the heart of the chinatown, along Trengganu Street, one store stands out with an Ang Mo selling sausages - german sausage austrian style!

wuerstelstand

It is located perpendicular to the smith street open concept hawker alley, which opens from 6pm onwards.

The name of the stall is Wuerstelstand, operated by an Austrian chap, selling sausages. Well the sausages are not the kind you can easily get from other places. Imported sausage, i would say. But the price is a bit ex also, around $3 for one serving.

He offers quite a few types of sausages from cheese to pepper, etc etc, i couldn't remember all the names :p

I bought the mini combo set for $3, consists of 2 pepper ones and one with cheese, all of which are the mini types, ie. half the length. Hmmm..... at first i thought it would be with bread, haha. Nevertheless, it's heated ( i think grilled) after i ordered, so it's hot when i'm eating it.

mini combo

Looks good!

sausage 1

At first, i thought $3 is quite ex, however, after i had eaten one of it, i know it's worth the money. The taste is much different. You wont get this quality easily along the streets.

sausage 2

This one taste a bit like the sausage from Macdonald's Breakfast meal, but much nicer, not as salty.

There are some a few high tables and stools by the side of the stall, so you can sit down, eat the sausage and relax, enjoying the scenery. Nice place for a chat too!
