its a bit late but.. i advise not to buy this phone but the features are indeed too tempting.
the features are great! superb! but i seriously thinks that the phone has designing problem. The operating memory is just not sufficient. screen going black out like within 3days of purchase? and even after servicing, it still blacks out.. so? and while servicing my phone, by the way, it takes 3days to service this, i saw others with the same model who went for servicing too. My friend's friend had his serviced too, but his was back to normal after the software was upgraded. Guess i'm more suay?
to the plus. the walkman's wonderful but please, the speakers are not as loud as other walkman series. not too much a problem for a private listener. the mega bass is nice as it makes your music full, but for dance tracks, you might have a problem listening to the original voice when the bass floods it. it comes with a 2GB m2 memory card which should be highly sufficient for most, and there's really no need for a mp3 player with this phone. it comes with a m2 card reader too.
the motion sensor allows the phone to auto switch its walkman display between horizontal and vertical. its damn cool when your phone looks like a mp3 player with a big LCD screen. and did i mention it has SenseMe? that means they will "sense" the mood of your music when transfering and will categorise accordingly for u to choose the same mood range of songs.
btw, re: motion sensor. there's a marble game in the phone and you can balance the marble by balancing you phone. so you hold your phone horizontally lk on a plane and balance and lead the marble. also, there's a music mate application which is ULTRA COOL!!! but its screen blank prone as it uses lotsa memory. Basically. you can choose up to 4musical instruments, say drum, snare, bass, and horn? when you tilt the phone to left, it will be the sound of the instrument on the left. so shake left right up down accordinly and to your beat and you have your music sounding! real cool!
this phone's got 2 gaming button on the top where e speaker for your ear is located. so you can rotate the game's screen to sideway and play with 1hand using left-right-up-down, the other hand with the A-B buttons. but of the 3 games embeded, there's only 1 racing game which uses these 2 buttons, for shifting of gears. but if you play auto cars, not much use for these 2 buttons.
oh ya, forgot to mention the tilt song function. recall the TV ad the guy shakes the phone and the singers are thrown off stage? yup this is the phone. basically you gotta press and hold on to the walkman button on the top and tilt right for next track, left for previous. shake 2x for shuffle.
the phone's cool for a music listener, but the camera is not good enough, its probably with focal length just suitable for self/co-portraits. but at just 98-268SGD with contract, its quite a steal as a replacement for your mp3 player.. and its 3.5G too. with HSPA transfer speed capability. and video calls lets you switch between the front and back camera. Its slim too. if not for its black out, i would recommend this. basically, its your luck and your own take! W910i
